King Meets Lebanese President in Paris and Affirms Jordan’s Support for the Lebanese People

Al-Taj News – His Majesty King Abdullah II met Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun in Paris on Wednesday, on the sidelines of a new round of the “Aqaba Process” meetings scheduled to be held on Thursday to discuss ways to support the Lebanese Army.

His Majesty affirmed that Jordan stands by the Lebanese people and will continue to support them in preserving their security, stability, and sovereignty, stressing the need to halt Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory.

For his part, the Lebanese president expressed his appreciation for Jordan’s positions, under the leadership of His Majesty the King, in support of Lebanon and its people, commending the Kingdom’s continued efforts and its standing by Lebanon.
